ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Bernalillo County officials are warning residents about a recent phone scam trying to solicit personal information. According to the county, the scammers claim they are from the Bernalillo Court of Wills, Estates and Probate.

One person reported getting a suspicious call from someone saying they are with the probate court and trying to get a deceased person’s Social Security number and other information about assets.

 

Sumner Redstone’s girlfriend allowed to proceed with lawsuit against his daughter

A former live-in companion of Sumner Redstone can proceed with her entire cross-complaint against the 94-year-old media mogul’s daughter, a judge ruled Monday in rejecting defense arguments that two of the six allegations in her lawsuit should be dismissed and some of her damage claims stricken.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Robert Hess ruled there were enough details in Sydney Holland’s claims for intentional interference with contractual relations and inducing breach of contract to remain part of her lawsuit, which also alleges invasion of privacy.

Over the last two decades of his storied career, Muddy Waters entertained a global multitude, belting out his pioneering brand of electric Chicago blues with his gruff voice and his battered, burgundy red Fender Telecaster.

His iconic guitar still made the rounds even after Waters died in 1983. It’s been displayed at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and at a Jimi Hendrix-themed exhibition in Seattle. On Wednesday, it made an unscheduled appearance in Wheaton, in the cab of a pickup truck parked in a lot at the DuPage County government center.

SINGAPORE: Stamford Law did not draft any will of the late founding Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, said his youngest son Mr Lee Hsien Yang on Friday (Jun 16), as the dispute between Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his siblings drags on.

Mr Lee told Channel NewsAsia in an email reply that his father’s last will was drafted by Ms Kwa Kim Li of Lee & Lee, who had prepared his previous wills.
