PARIS, Texas (AP) — A judge in Northeast Texas has resigned six months after being publicly reprimanded by the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct.

Judge Eric Clifford resigned Wednesday. He was based in Paris and heard cases from Lamar and Red River counties.

The Canadian Association for Free Expression is hoping a recent Ontario Court of Appeal decision to reinstate an allegedly racist will may bolster its bid to have the Supreme Court of Canada review a New Brunswick ruling that barred a neo-Nazi group from inheriting a man’s estimated $250,000 estate.

The Ontario-based non-profit group is seeking leave to appeal the Robert McCorkill case, arguing it is ”of national importance.”

When Donald Callender died, he stipulated that his trust was to be divided into thirds, with equal portions allotted to his daughter from his first marriage, Cathe, his surviving widow Katy, and his son from his second marriage, Lucky.

A Queens attorney was thrown into jail for 30 days after admitting he raided the late Judge John (Kung Fu) Phillips’ estate for two years, the Daily News has learned.

Frank Racano, who worked as an attorney for Rev. Samuel Boykin — Phillips’s nephew — has been locked up since March 1 for not complying with a court order telling him to account for funds from the more than $2 million auction of the Slave Theater building and nearby property in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
