Will concussion settlement promote the targeting of former NFL players in questionable guardianship actions?

An article entitled Judge denies initial approval of $760 million concussion settlement addressed how a U.S. District Court judge recently denied initial approval of a $760 million concussion settlement between the NFL and many of its former players. This brought to mind the case of former NFL player Jerry Eckwood.

Eckwood, a Tennessee resident, was targeted for a conservatorship in the Davidson County Probate Court of Judge Randy Kennedy. Click here for articles on Eckwood’s case.

Some settlement will most likely will be forthcoming. With that, will more former NFL players be similarly targeted?
