Britney Spears’ former nanny to testify that Spears is ‘emotionally manipulated’ (CA)

A nanny named Lourdes “Lulu” Torres who used to work for “X Factor” U.S. judge Britney Spears is ready to testify in a civil-lawsuit trial that the people in Spears’ inner circle are emotionally manipulating her. Torres is going to testify for plaintiff Sam Lutfi, the former manager of Spears who is suing Spears and Spears’ parents for defamation, libel and breach of contract. Because of her psychiatric problems, Spears has been under a conservatorship since 2008. The conservatorship is overseen by her father for her business affairs, and her father and her fiancé, Jason Trawick, for her personal affairs.

A source told Radar Online that Torres “is going to be called as a witness by Sam Lutfi’s lawyer to testify about what she witnessed when she was a nanny to Britney’s two children, in the months after the conservatorship was put in place in 2008. Lulu will testify that she believes Britney was being emotionally manipulated in the conservatorship and will blow the lid off of what was really going on with her. Lulu ended up quitting her job because she was so disturbed by what she saw was happening to Britney.

“Lulu signed a non-disclosure agreement so she has never been able to go public with her concerns for Britney, however, the NDA doesn’t cover a court of law and Lulu is ready to testify. Lulu’s testimony could have significant impact on the jury because she spent a great deal of time with Britney and her parents after the conservatorship was put in place. Lulu isn’t after money, she just wants the truth to come out and it will be shocking.”

Because she is under a conservatorship, the trial judge has ruled that Spears will not be forced to testify in the case since the judge decided that Spears was too emotionally fragile to testify at the trial.

While Lutfi was her manager in 2007 and early 2008, Spears had notorious meltdowns that included shaving all the hair off of her head, attacking paparazzi, spending time in rehab for undisclosed reasons, and being involuntarily hospitalized for psychiatric issues. Spears’ mother has publicly claimed that Lutfi gave Spears drugs that Spears was not prescribed, which is an accusation that he denies and is one of the focal points of the lawsuit.

Spears and her parents had a restraining order against Lutfi, but the restraining order has expired. Radar Online reported that her use of cell phones and the Internet is heavily monitored to shield her from Lutfi trying to contact her and from finding out upsetting news that could lead to her having another meltdown.

Spears joined “The X Factor” in May 2012, and she had to get special permission from a judge to take “The X Factor” job. She and her representatives have not commented on rumors that she is a bipolar drug addict.

In recently filed court documents, Lutfi claimed that in 2007, he brought drug-detecting dogs to Spears home and the dogs found crystal meth in the carpeting, which Lutfi said he later removed from the home.

In addition to Torres, other people who are expected to testify in the trial include:

  • Jamie and Lynne Spears (her divorced parents)
  • Jamie Lynn Spears (her younger sister)
  • Jason Trawick (her fiancé)
  • Larry Rudolph (her current manager)
  • Ali Sims (her former assistant)
  • Lou Taylor (her former manager)
  • Laura Wasser (her divorce attorney)
  • Adnan Ghalib (tabloid photographer/Spears’ ex-boyfriend)

Several media outlets are reporting that much of the testimony and evidence presented at the trial will expose many of Spears’ scandalous secrets that would explain why she lost custody of her two sons in 2007. For that reason alone, many insiders predict that an out-of-court settlement will be reached before the trial begins. The trial has been repeatedly delayed.

An article on the Daily Beast website has more details about the Lutfi vs. Spears lawsuit.

In 2011, Spears also settled out of court when a former bodyguard sued her for sexual harassment.
