Happy Fourth of July!!

As we celebrate this day commemorating America’s 1776 declaration of independence from Great Britain, let us remember how that effort was about fighting for freedoms and opportunities.  Be it the desire for individual, religious or economic freedoms, the desire for self-determination – not oppressive rule by an over-reaching government – was the goal.

Many of us continue in a similar and increasingly intense battle today.  Some are driven by protecting their “piece of the pie” – what impacts them or their families – nothing more, certainly nothing less.  Estate of Denial^® takes pride in being part of an activist community that shares grave concerns for the future of our country.  We work not only in respecting our associates’ chosen pursuits in various political advocacy avenues, but also in optimizing opportunities to learn from each other enhancing our skills and knowledge base as few issues exist in isolation.

We hope this Fourth of July is a celebratory day for the EoD audience and their families.  We also hope it is used as a day to reflect on the incredible but now threatened opportunity the United States of America has historically offered generations of its citizens – opportunities that are fleeting for our children and their children.

Perhaps it will inspire to broader action those with complacent or limited self-interested attitudes about our country’s future.  Perhaps it will inspire current events self-education on the part of those who really think things are okay.  Then again, it will probably just be another day of a parade, beer-drinking and hanging out at the pool or lake.  As B.C. Forbes, founder of Forbes Magazine, once said “You cannot push anyone up the ladder unless he is willing to climb.”
