LOS ANGELES – Survivors of actor Charles Bronson today sued Warner Bros. and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer asking for allegedly unpaid residuals, including from home videos, generated from the 1970s films “St Ives” and “Telefon.”
The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of the Bronson Marital Trust and the Bronson Survivor’s Trust. It alleges breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and misrepresentation and seeks unspecified damages.
Warner Bros. spokesman Paul McGuire did not immediately return an e-mail seeking comment.
Bronson, who also starred in such noted films as “The Magnificent Seven” and “The Dirty Dozen,” died in August 2003 at age 81. The right to obtain monies derived during his life belongs to the Bronson trusts, the suit states.
