We couldn’t resist posting today a story out of the San Antonio Express-News about the former treasurer of the Bexar County Democratic Party being indicted on charges of “misapplication by a fiduciary.” When constituents of these people are victims of fiduciary breach via “misapplication” of funds in a probate matter, they are relegated to the pay-to-play civil court system. District attorney’s offices are generally disinterested. One more example of the political system taking care of its own.
And check out this story from Florida about another man seeking guardianship of his brother against the brother’s wishes.
A new column entitled Adult guardianships: how the probate system trumps unalienable rights is posted at Examiner.com and also here at EoD.
Estate of Denial® provides news, analysis and commentary on abusive practices occurring in probate courts and via probate instruments (wills, trusts, guardianships, powers of attorney). We provide original perspective to educate the public regarding this growing threat to both individual freedoms and property rights.
