Health care ‘reform’ and estate abuse

We’ve published a new health care column, Obamacare:  stimulus for estate abuse?,  that reiterates the impact “reform” could bring to the estate abuse issue.  Identifying and acknowledging realistic consequences is a concept working at odds with many current government efforts seeking to diminish American freedom and potential for future economic prosperity.  With any understanding of how our government works, it simply defies sound fiscal reasoning to believe that a government health care takeover will be anything but devastating for most Americans – especially the elderly.

The final version of the Senate health care bill is still in development, but at a point, the bill was reported to have included the Elder Justice ActEstateofDenial.com believes equal treatment under the law to be a more prudent course of action opposed to creating new governmental bureaucracies seeking to segregate groups of Americans for elevated legal status (as this simultaneously diminishes the rights of non-group members).  Some people might also find an irony in using current “reform” proposals, the most functionally elder-hostile legislation probably in American history, to pass provisions purporting to be about elder justice.
