Estate of Denial news round-up (11.19.09)

November 19th, 2009

A California attorney has been suspended for threatening and disrespecting North Carolina officials involved with the estate administration of the attorney’s father.  While we obviously don’t condone such actions, irony exists as this attorney sounds to be on the receiving end of legal industry “justice” as experienced by many other Involuntary Redistribution of Assets (IRA) targets.

EstateofDenial.com regularly discusses how the legal industry benefits from IRA acts being kept low-key and away from public view.  That point seems well-illustrated through an article we just came across that reports how after losing her lawsuit seeking a portion of the late Henry J.N. Taub’s estate by claiming to have been his common law wife, Houston-reporter-turned-lawyer Mary-Ellen Conway attempted to have key documents sealed.

January 22 is the date on which disbarred attorney Steven T. Rondos is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty to stealing from guardianship accounts of his clients.  While some clients were seniors, others were incapacitated children.

And the big trial in Rome which pits the daughter of Gianni Agnelli against three of her father’s close advisers regarding the accounting of the late Fiat patriarch’s estate is coming to an end.  A verdict is not expected until 2010.
