Major court battle cooking over hot dog estate

January 18th, 2009

Here’s another of those stories in which a late-in-life will alleged to be dramatically different from earlier estate plans is now in dispute.  The side benefiting from the “last will” always attests to the coherence of the decedent while others not surprisingly (and often with good reason) question the competence and potential of undue influence.

Estate disputes financially, morally and socially degrade lives.  Some of us who once could never have qualified (thank God!) for an episode of The Jerry Springer Show can no longer make such a claim thanks to grave robbers and property poachers.  It’s easy to see what the world is becoming.  Unfortunately, the view is pretty ugly.
